Here at Burnin’ Bugs we offer an active, convective Heat Treatment to get rid of bed bugs and their eggs in your home or RV . It is the safest, healthiest and most reliable way. There is no need to dispose of mattresses, box springs, bedding, carpeting, or furniture, because those can all be heat treated! This heat is lethal without the use of pesticides, plus it can be accomplished in just one day. Treatment usually takes anywhere from 6-10 hours.

We can Heat Treat used furniture that you may have bought from a yard sale or consignment shop. To kill bed bugs and their eggs, maintaining temperatures in the hardest to heat areas is very important, especially in furniture, because there are plenty of hiding places. Dr. Linford’s Heat Prescription recommends 120 degrees for 4 hours, 130 degrees for 3 hours and 140 degrees for 2 hours. We like to extend that time in all treatment areas to guarantee successful treatment. In Addition, if you’re leaving an infested house/apartment and you don’t want to bring these bugs with you, we can heat treat your furniture before you move into your new place.

With all the traveling and stops, you can easily pick up one of those hitch-hiking bed bugs and not even know it! We offer Heat Treatment to commercial businesses as well, who rent out their furniture. The used furniture, when returned does go through a cleaning process, but what if a customer comes in with bed bugs on their clothes, in a purse, pocket, etc, without knowing it and they sit on a piece of furniture to “try it out” after the bed bug has had a meal (your blood), they can find their way into this furniture, lay eggs and within 10 days or so, the store has bed bugs lurking around in the furniture. Not a pleasant thought, but anything is possible with these critters.
